Use: Enduro racing, park riding, downhill, and e-MTB anywhere you need maximum grip and durable casing. The Butcher is the benchmark for aggressive trail and enduro tires the tire to reach for when the consequences are high and the terrain is demanding.

12% More T9 Tread ContactThe Butcher’s tread design puts 12% more of Specialized’s stickiest T9 compound in contact with the terrain compared to previous generations. More contact patch means more grip the compound literally deforms into the ground surface, providing traction that lesser tires can’t match. T9 is Specialized’s softest, most grippy compound: it holds on through corners, brakes, and rough terrain where harder compounds would break traction. When the trail is demanding, that extra contact area is the difference between confidence and panic.GRIPTON T9 Maximum Grip CompoundT9 is the softest GRIPTON compound designed to deform into rocks, roots, and loose surfaces rather than bouncing off them. The Butcher uses T9 across the entire tread surface for consistent grip in all conditions. Whether you’re on groomed singletrack, dealing with post-storm mud, or navigating chunky rock gardens, the T9 compound maintains traction. This is grip without compromise the tire you want when conditions are at their worst.Grid Gravity Casing Built for AbuseGrid Gravity is Specialized’s burliest casing: 60TPI 2-ply construction designed to survive enduro racing, bike park laps, and downhill runs. The bead-to-bead protection deflects rock strikes and impacts that would slice lesser tires. e-MTB rating means it handles the added weight and torque of electric mountain bikes without degrading. Pair it with Roval Traverse SL or HD wheels co-developed for the Butcher to work as a system with FlatStop bead technology and maximum pinch-flat protection.GeneralModelButcher Grid Gravity T9 TLR EnduroPositionFront & RearUseEnduro, Park, DH, e-MTBTerrainMountain wide spectrum conditionsTypeTubeless-ready (Clincher)Tread & CompoundCompoundGRIPTON T9 maximum grip, all conditionsTread DesignAll-condition trail tread with 12% more T9 contact areaCasing60TPI Grid Gravity 2-ply extreme-duty constructionFlat ProtectionGrid Gravity bead-to-bead enduro, park, DH protectionWeights27.5 x 2.4″1260g29 x 2.4″1350g29 x 2.6″1370gfunction showPanel(id, btn) { document.querySelectorAll(‘.spur-panel’).forEach(p => p.classList.remove(‘active’)); document.querySelectorAll(‘.spur-tab’).forEach(t => t.classList.remove(‘active’)); document.getElementById(‘panel-‘ + id).classList.add(‘active’); btn.classList.add(‘active’);}
